The Southern Tier Swim League held its first meet of the season at Watkins Glen High School. Two Sayre swimmers competed with the Waverly Area Aquatic Club. Attilio Agnellino qualified for the Gold Meet in four events, advancing to the state championship held in Niagara Falls. He finished 1st in 2 of his four events. Maci Wells also swam and achieved three personal bests out of the four events that she competed in.

The girls jv/varsity basketball team played at Sullivan County last night, losing 43-16. Rylee Lantz led the way with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. McKenna Parrish chipped in with 4 points, Olivia Thompson had 4 steals and 3 assists while Emily Strickland 4 boards, 2 steals and a blocked shot for the Lady Redskins. Important to note that we also had our first JV game in at least 5 years so lets give a shout out to all the girls and coaches that are turning the program around from rec up through varsity-thanks and appreciate the hard work and dedication!

At the Bluejay First Chance Invitational on Saturday, the following swimmers qualified for Districts: Dominick Music in the 200 IM and 200 Butterfly taking 3rd in each event, and he also participated in the 200 medley and freestyle relays both taking 3rd place Austin Quattrini in the 50 free, and was a member of the 6th place 400 freestyle relay Olivia Thompson in the 50 free and 100 Backstroke, taking 6th and 5th, and also participated in the 200 freestyle relay taking 4th and the 200 medley relay taking 6th.

Redskin wrestlers were at the Jarvis Tourney today, Jordan Brown went 4-1 and took 3rd at 189, Mikyah Brown went 3-2 and took 3rd on the girls side and Kaylee Kmetz went 3-1 with 3 pins in the jr-hi exhibitions. Isabella Stamile, Chaylynn Roloson and Amicio LaManna also participated and wrestled hard. Great job!
