Sayre Indoor Track competed at Ithaca University on Friday night at the Hurley Invite. Emma Cole led the way with a 2' PR in the shot out to24'9" placing 13th out of34 throwers Glen Vanbethuysen, opened up his indoor season in the 1000 at 3:27 and the 1600 at 6:06. The next meet will be in February at Bucknell University.

This week is Winter Sports Officials Appreciation Week, and we want to thank those folks who take time away from family and work to provide our student athletes the opportunity to play the games they love. Additionally, we want to shout out those recent SHS grads Nick Bentley, Josh Arnold, Patrick Shaw, Ryan Ressler and Theo Molina (and our Superintendent Mr. Wells) who are basketball officials, gentlemen, we appreciate your dedication and effort to give our student athletes a positive game experience!

Girls basketball played Williamson last night, and although they didn't win, there were some impressive performances. Rylee Lantz led the way with 6 points, 18 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 blocked shots, while McKenna Parrish had 3 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Olivia Thompson had 4 rebounds and 7 steals. In the JV game, Brooke Roberts had 6 points, 3 boards, a block and a steal, while Hailey Sanderson had 2 points and 6 rebounds, and Emily Strickland had 2 steals and a blocked shot. The girls next game is Wednesday at North Penn Liberty.

All proceeds go directly to the Bradford & Sullivan county Special Olympics.

Amazing first outing for our Sayre Lady Redskins NTYL travel basketball teams who took on the Troy Trojans away. A Team came up with a big win, B team played hard, but was just a few baskets short of securing the W, then we rounded out our day with a 3/4th team win!❤️💙🏀 Great job to all teams on the court today and thank you to the Trojans for being great hosts. Next up Thursday we are away to compete against the Wyalusing Rams!
Sayre athletes were back in the pool today competing with WAAC in Elmira. Attilio Agnellino, Maci Wells, and Dom Musick participated in the third Southern Tier Swim League meet of the season. Personal records were set and heats were won! Great job to all of the Sayre swimmers!


Senior Lylah Smith was nominated by her teachers, Mrs. Wheeler and Mrs. Arena, to receive a patch of honor from SRO Spencer. Lylah was recognized for her positive contributions to Sayre School District and being a role model and leader in the halls of Sayre High. Keep up the great work, Lylah! ❤️💙



At the boys game last night Alumni Nick Pellicano and Hudson Trump came back and were recognized for each pulling down 500 rebounds in their career at Sayre. Congrats gentlemen and continued future success we appreciate your efforts!
