This past week Sayre High School student, Caroline Moore, participated in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. Students from all over the country came together to learn together. The aim of this program is to develop leadership skills, explore influential figures in American history and present skills to promote positive change.
We are proud to have our school represented by a number of Sayre students this summer at this conference and look forward to what skills they will bring back from this educational experience.
Sayre Area School District Position Available Immediately: Assistant High School Principal The Sayre Area School District is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the position of Assistant High School Principal. Qualifications: • Valid PA Principal K-12 or PA Secondary Principal certification is required. • The ideal candidate will demonstrate: o Strong communication and interpersonal skills o A proven ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community o Experience in data-driven decision making o The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a building-level and district administrative team • Prior leadership experience is preferred. Interested in Track & Field? Come out for summer workouts every Sunday at 1:00 PM on the high school track with Coach Stevens and Coach Bryan!
These sessions are a great way to stay active, build skills, and get ready for the upcoming season.
Note: No workouts on holiday weekends.

Mr. Michael Wells Officially Sworn In as Superintendent
Today, Mr. Michael Wells attended a formal commissioning ceremony at the Bradford County Courthouse, presided over by President Judge Maureen Beirne. During the ceremony, Mr. Wells was officially sworn in as the new Superintendent of the Sayre Area School District.
Board of Directors Vice-President Patricia Blythe was also in attendance to represent the Board and support Mr. Wells as he begins this important leadership role.
2025 Summer Rec. sign-ups will be on Saturday, June 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Please enter by the pool area off Hopkins Street.
