🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT! 🌟 This week, Sayre Area School District is shining the spotlight on Mrs. Grunza! ❤️ Mrs. Grunza teaches Life Skills for grades 10–12 and has been teaching for 16 years! She loves helping students recognize the amazing person they already are and encourages them to approach each day with patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, working at her family greenhouse, volunteering in the community, and playing field hockey! 🏑🌱 Thank you, Mrs. Grunza, for all you do for our students and school community! 💙

After completing our first full week in the elementary classrooms our staff's energy is running low.  Learning new schedules, new routines and establishing classroom expectations is no small feat.  What better way to renew our energy than a surprise staff visit from  our favorite Johnny D's ice Cream Truck!  A heartfelt thank you goes out to Barbie and Brandon Hall for valuing  our elementary   educators and what they do.  It is companies like yours that make us proud to be part of such a wonderful, caring community.   Thank you Johnny D's from the bottom of our elementary hearts!

This morning a Sayre Area School District bus was involved in a minor accident. The Green Bus was the bus that was involved in the incident. The parents of each of the students on the bus were contacted by Sayre Area School District administrators, and all of the students were checked out by medical personnel. There were no injuries and all of the students went to school a few minutes late and received breakfast when they arrived. A BIG thank you goes out to the Sayre Borough Police Department and the Greater Valley EMS for their assistance with the situation.

National Honor Society is holding its Annual Children's Book Drive from Sept. 14 - Oct. 16.

Position Maintenance District Assignment Qualifications: Demonstrates the ability to conduct institutional repairs, replacements, and grounds keeping, and a proficiency in HVAC, Plumbing, Pneumatic, and Electronic Systems.
