We continue getting to know our staff in 2025 by chatting with our Business Computer- Information Tech Teacher, Andrea Dahl-Edgerton
“I like to spend time with my family and animals,
painting rocks that we collect from the creek outback of our house,
being outside by the creek or exploring nature, and I like to work in
the fruit garden in the warmer weather. I make sure to read every day
as well. Sitting on the back deck of my house in the warm weather with
a book and my dogs on my lap is where I like to be!”
“I grew up in the Finger Lakes around the old Seneca Army Depot in
Romulus, New York. This is unique for two reasons. The Depot is the
home of the white deer that are very rare and beautiful. Second, it is
a very rural community and smaller than Sayre.”
“I chose teaching because I love to help my community. I have always had jobs that were based on helping people. Even when I was not teaching, I worked in positions
that helped my community. I believe that educating and helping people
is one of the best gifts you can give to a community. Once you learn a
skill, it is with you forever. This belief motivated me to share my
knowledge with others to help our community become a better place to
live and work.”
“I love the small school and community environment at SASD. I graduated from a
small school with 30 students in my graduating class. I love how you
know each student, form a bond with your peers, a teacher is able to
get to know students better, and seeing the pride in each community
member adds to the motivation to give your best each day. The school
has welcomed me with such a warm and inclusive feeling. That
environment is appreciated and adds to a positive school experience
for all.”
We thank Andrea for joining our school community and sharing what makes her a great addition to our Sayre family!

Congratulations to Liam Barry who was accepted into the Program for Priestly Formation in the Diocese of Scranton today and will continue his journey to become a Priest in August when he enters the Seminary at Seton Hall!

The survey includes questions on current district strengths, challenges, priorities, and suggestions for future goals. As the team develops a comprehensive/strategic plan, we want to understand our school community's needs, priorities, and goals. Your input will help shape a vision that supports our students, staff, and families.
