A few of our Future Teacher’s Club members spent a day touring Elmira College. It was a terrific day and we even bumped into some Sayre alumni. A special shout out to Pat Gillette for all his help orchestrating the day!

Mrs. Wheeler, Mrs. Perry and a group of SHS students attended the Try the Trades career exploration event hosted by the Career Development Council. Students explored skilled trades and in-demand careers and participated in hands-on-activities; including heavy equipment operation! It was an awesome day for everyone! ❤️💙

At the end of March, Mr. Pipher and Mrs. Grunza's classes came together to participate in the Great American Clean-Up right here in downtown Elmer Park! ✨ With the help of Mrs. Sharma and Mrs. Sarah Pugh, our students worked hard to clean up the park, side streets, and around SHS. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make our community cleaner and greener! 🌱👏

Our amazing team of 11 students went head-to-head with other schools in the Battle of the Books! They read a total of 42 books and brought their A-game to every challenge. The competition was tough, but they did an incredible job representing our school with knowledge, enthusiasm, and team spirit!
A huge congratulations to our readers for their hard work and dedication. You made us proud!

Last weekends production of Guys and Dolls was a huge success. So many in our community came out to enjoy the show. The students were outstanding. We will miss seeing some of our senior stars of the stage but they left us with a show worth remembering. All the students involved put so much time and work into making the show a success and we are so proud of you. Thank you to our producers Ms. Wentzel and Ms. Ackerman and to every community member in the pit orchestra. You really brought the atmosphere up with your beautiful music. The musical arts are thriving at SASD!
