Tomorrow morning is the end of our animal care collection. Every little bit helps our friends critters!!!

They do.......

We want to thank all of our staff and faculty who have let us know a little more about them this year. It’s been fun to learn some little known facts about each and why they love being a part of our team here.
Today we celebrate our final staff member, high school math teacher, Mr. Sangrey. Along with teaching we are excited to see that Mr. Sangrey will be stepping into a coaching role! We asked him to tell us a little about himself.
One of my favorite things to do is play volleyball in local and national tournaments. I also enjoy coaching volleyball (which I am looking forward to starting next season at SASD), hunting, and golfing.
Something my students may not know about me is that I lived in South Dakota for three years.
I chose to work at Sayre because it is a small, tight-knit community where I can easily be involved.
My favorite thing about SASD has been working with all of the awesome students this year. Having students who take pride in their education and community makes teaching incredibly rewarding!
Thank you Mr. Sangrey for being a big part of the community we are creating at Sayre.

🚀 **Future Entrepreneurs in Action!** 🛒✨
As part of a hands-on gifted learning project led by Mrs. Lezak and inspired by "The Pushcart War," Ada and Alyssa Mosier embraced the challenge of launching their own small businesses—Ada’s Sculpted Styles and Alyssa’s Allures. Their dedication and creativity truly paid off!
Ada designed and handcrafted polymer clay earrings, lanyards, and keychains, while Alyssa created custom coasters and soothing rice bags. Together, they turned their ideas into real-world entrepreneurial success!
Their entrepreneurial journey included:
✅ Developing a full business plan
✅ Calculating start-up costs and unit pricing
✅ Conducting market research through custom surveys
✅ Exploring different business structures
✅ Designing logos, brochures, business cards, and advertisements
✅ Pitching their ideas to administration for approval
✅ And most exciting of all—selling their handmade products to staff!
After tallying up their earnings and subtracting expenses, Ada and Aly made a meaningful choice to donate some of their profits to one of Ada's classmates who is going through hard times. 💛
🎨 Also, a huge shoutout to Ada , who created nearly 200 items for this weekend’s Arts for All event. Her creativity and work ethic is truly inspiring!
We’re so proud of these students for embracing real-world learning with heart, determination, and generosity.

We celebrate our LUNCH HEROS! ❤️💙

The number that you pick is the amount of money you put in the envelope. We are so excited for this year's showcase! You won't want to miss it!

As we enter our final month of the school year, we have a couple more staff we want to highlight and honor. Today we celebrate Mrs. Souder, secretary to the elementary principal. Mrs. Souder is a bright light in the office. She is known for posting positive messages for the staff on her window and flashing her bright smile to everyone who walks through the door. We asked her to tell us a little about herself.
Some of my favorite things and hobbies are, I enjoy spending time with my family, writing, and cooking.
Something none of the students probably know about me is I used to play Xbox quite a bit a few years back.
I chose to work at Snyder because I really love the atmosphere here.
My favorite thing about working at the Sayre School District is that the kids and the staff are really just the best.
Thank you, Mrs. Souder, for everything you do and all the love you pour into your work, the staff and the students you support.

Snyder Elementary lead custodian, Jimmy Mullen , often takes time at the end of the day to teach students flag etiquette. Today he was teaching Junie how to properly fold and store the flag. We are proud to have staff who go the extra mile to invest in our students. Thanks for all you do Jimmy!
