We’re thrilled to share the results of our first-ever SRO Patch Design Contest! This year, SRO Spencer, with amazing support from our district and police department, launched a contest for students to showcase their creativity and school spirit by designing a police-themed patch. The winning design will be worn by our SRO, with copies given to the winner, district, and department. Congratulations to our winner, Nikita Westbrook from Podolinski’s 3rd grade, who earned a $25 Dunkin’ gift card! A huge shoutout to our talented runners-up: Aleah Vorhis (7th grade), Abeera Khan, Kathryn Rae (Sutton’s 5th grade), Declan Wilkes (DeHaan’s 4th grade), Ariella Kishore, Bailey Silkman, Olivia Brennan (Podolinski’s 3rd grade), Sylvie Elliot (Noldy’s 2nd grade), each receiving a $10 Dunkin’ gift card. Nikita Westbrook’s awesome design is being turned into a real patch! We’re so proud of everyone who participated and showed their pride in our district. The creativity was incredible, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings! 🎉

It was a bittersweet day last Saturday at the district 4 track and field championships. Rose shikanga placed 3rd in the 100H in 16.13 which just missed the state standard of 16.01.Thursday in the preliminaries she ran 15.84 well under the standard. Rose finishes her career as a 3 time NTL Champion in the 100H. Marco quiros had mixed results battling through allergies and a bad head cold as he would come up short in the 400 placing 9th at 51.83 in a loaded field just missing the state standard but came back and ran his fastest time ever in the 200 hitting 22.63 taking 5th and bettering the standard to compete at the PIAA state Championships this week on Friday and hopefully also in the finals on Sat. Marco is also just .19 away from our school record! With Hudson placing 9th in the shot and Emma and Glen just missing Districts this year our future looks bright for Sayre T&F! Good Luck Marco!
