Sports fans! The schedule for the week of August 24-29 . ⬇️

This is an important message from the Sayre Area School District. Effectively immediately, electric scooters and electric dirt bikes will not be allowed at Sayre High School or at Snyder Elementary School. Pennsylvania State Law prohibits these modes of transportation from being operated on public roads and sidewalks. They are only permitted to be operated on private property according to this Pennsylvania law. Electric bikes with pedals are legal and can be operated if the operator is at least 16 years of age and is wearing a helmet. These will be permitted at Sayre High School, if these criteria are met. Students will not be allowed to ride electric scooters or electric dirt bikes to school, practices, or after school events. The Sayre Area School District has been working with the Sayre Borough Police Department to ensure that this law is being followed. The safety of students is always a top priority in the Sayre Area School District.

Please join us in Congratulating Mrs. Lauren Rought on her new role 🎉 Hi, I am Mrs. Rought. I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2012, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (K-6). I went on to teach in Palm Beach County, Florida before moving to Sayre in 2016. I've had the opportunity to work with students through Big Brothers Big Sisters, as a building-based substitute, and most recently as the principal’s secretary at Snyder. I am excited to bring all of my experience back to the classroom and look forward to an exciting year! Congratulations, Mrs. Rought. We look forward to the positive impact you will continue to make in your new role. 💙❤️

If your child(ren) need to ride the school bus to a babysitter or another location that is different from their regular stop, please contact Transportation first to confirm there is room on the bus.

Please do not send your child(ren) to the bus without first confirming that transportation can accommodate the request.
