Attention Sayre Community!
The Music Boosters are a small non-profit group dedicated to promoting, supporting, and continuing the musical arts at Sayre Area School District.
We are in search of varying degrees of support:
We have an immediate need to help in the concession stand at all home football games, and cavalcade, our marching band’s highlight performance of their year. You can help in the stand itself front of the house or back of the house, or by donating a crockpot of chili, chicken wing dip, macaroni and cheese, pulled pork or the like.
We will soon be looking for people to volunteer for concessions on a smaller scale during the musical performances in the spring. There are typically 3 performances over the weekend. We sell candy, water, & flowers during these performances. Ticket sellers/takers may be needed as well for these dates.
And finally, long-term, we are in need of new officers to head up the boosters in order to continue the program. Currently, we have only one of our officers with a student involved in any Sayre music program. Her child will be graduating this year. Not only are we looking for officers, but also for a group of supportive music parents to help continue the vision and the development of these awesome music programs!
Music boosters helps ALL students involved in all music disciplines: marching band, concert band, chorus, musical theater/drama. We have supported a jazz band, and a pep band in the past as well. Our elementary students are included too!We support their endeavors with instrument rental assistance and music purchases.
The money raised helps cover the cost of district and regional competitions for students; helped purchase new band uniforms; assists with repair and upgrading instruments; has purchased stage floor microphones for the musicals; and has assisted with funding of field trips and festivals. We even bought curriculum for use during COVID for the elementary school!
Please consider joining us, whether in an immediate volunteer role-or even better-in a more permanent role as an officer. This program is so valuable, and we need your help to continue its many benefits for our kids!!
Stay tuned for Music Booster meeting dates to be posted soon. We look forward to seeing so many of you. Thank you to our wonderful community!

Bring your swim suits!

You can't help but notice the fun coming from the 6th grade pod at Snyder. Those neon lights are amazing! Thank you Ms. Burgess for creating an inviting atmosphere for our Snyder "seniors". What a cool place to learn, grow and be the "cool kids" who read books and "slay" their assigments!
