
Sayre Area School District will be closed Friday, November 10, 2023 in observance of Veterans Day.


The Jr-Hi Lady Redskins lost a hard fought battle to Williamson last night. Leading the way for the Redskins was Reagan McGaughey who scored 6 while McKenna Parrish and Azelia McClenny had 4 each and Eliana Reyes chipped in with 2 points. Next up for the Lady Redskins is a home game on Thursday @ 5pm against Athens.


In Jr-Hi Boys basketball action the A and B teams both defeated Williamson last night. The A boys won 22-18, led by Hunter VanDerpoel’s 15 points with Jayden Morningstar, Brayden Northrup and Riley Johnson also scoring for the Skins. In the B game Sayre won 26-20 Tyrese Gamby leading the effort with 10 points and Jack Lattimer and Blake Zingeser each chipping in 6 points and Caden VanDerpoel adding 4. Next up for the boys is a home clash against Athens on Thursday starting at 6pm.


Kylee Lattimer- Rifenburg has been named Artist of the Month for October. Kylee was given a gift card to Celebrations from Stone House Retirement Income Planners. Her artwork is on display at their office on South Elmer Ave.

Sayre Lady Redskins volleyball program traveled to see the Binghamton Bearcats take on the UMBC Retrievers. It was a fun way to wrap up our season on a high note.

Snyder Elementary School's tradition of a costume parade continues as K-6 students and staff parade down the walking path and around the loop while parents, family members, and friends enjoy.









Starting off our Halloween day with a ton of fun! Listening to stories, playing ghostly games, eating donuts on a string, bat projects and spooky drawings!!! Our day is in full swing! See you at the parade later today!!!

SASD Foundation honored Coach Tom McCabe as the next coach to be placed on the Redman Wall of Fame. A ceremony was held in the Lockhart Street Bowl Friday evening before the football game. Mr. Denny Thomas spoke of Coach McCabe's record and shared memories of their time on the field together. Coach McCabe's family, former players, and members of the community attended the celebration.
