Sayre Area Board of Directors will be meeting this evening beginning at 7:00 pm in the library of the Junior/Senior High School.
Reminder: Sayre Gear Fundraiser pickup in the Sayre High Cafeteria is scheduled for tonight, 1/22, from 5-6 p.m.
The Jr-Hi boys completed their regular season winning 2 games against Canton. The A team won 43-6 with Riley Johnson leading the way with 16 points and Jayden Morningstar scoring 13. Hunter VanDerpoel had 4 while Tyrese Gamby, Blake Zingeser, Riley McGaughey, Tucker Green, and Xavier Denico each scored 2 points for the victorious Redskins. In the B game Sayre won 26-19, led by Caden VanDerpoel’s 8 points with Blake Zingeser and Tyrese Gamby each adding 7. Tucker Green added 4 to round out the scoring. Great job boys!

Congratulations to Alexia Hooper for participating in the 2024 PMEA District Band Festival this past week. She had participated in this ensemble along with students from 34 other school districts from all over PMEA District 8. Congratulations to Alexia and all other participating students.
The program SASD utilizes to send messages is having difficulty at a national level tonight. The company is working on the issue. Our apologies if anyone receives a phone call late into the night as the messages are within a queue with the company.

Please be aware the message pertaining to the 2 hour delay tomorrow, 1.17.24 was pushed out simultaneously to facebook, live feed on our website, app notification, email, text, and phone call. The text and phone calls did not occur. We are not sure if it is a cellular issue or issue with in our system the tech team and administration is working on it currently.

The Class of 2025 Sayre Gear Pickup has been canceled with today's snow day. We will be holding one on Monday, 1/22. We hope everyone stays safe and enjoys their snow day!
Sayre Area School District has transitioned from a delay to closed for January 16, 2024. The snow make-up day will be March 28

Jr Hi wrestler Caleb Grover took 3rd at Southern Tier Memorial on Sunday.
2023-2024 Kindergarten Information.
Jr-Hi Wrestling was in NEB on Saturday and did well. Corey Hurd went 3-0 on the day, Bryan Roof went 5-1 and Caleb Grover went 3-5 on the day.
Boys wrestling was at the Southern Tier Memorial Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Jordan Brown went 3-2 for the weekend while Jake Vaupotic went 1-2, getting his first varsity win, and Aiden Black was 0-2 on the weekend.
