Sayre Chapter of the National Honor Society
Membership in the NHS is a testament to a student's exceptional academic accomplishments, unwavering dedication to scholarship, outstanding character, and commitment to service and leadership. These qualities are not only commendable but also serve as a source of inspiration for peers and educators alike. Juniors and Seniors outstanding performance and involvement in various extracurricular activities are recognized. NHS students demonstrate a high level of integrity, leadership, and a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them.

In the fall of every school year, the NHS advisor sends letters to eligible juniors and seniors welcoming them to apply based on the student's academic achievements. Students submit an application identifying co-curricular activities, leadership positions, community service, and work experience, recognition, and awards achieved. The application along with a letter of recommendation is reviewed by the Faculty Council utilizing the rubric below.
