Life Skills Math- Grades 10th-12th

The purpose of this course is to help high school students with disabilities develop the fundamental math skills needed in order to transition from high school into an independent or supported adult life. The content of the course includes basic number concepts and relationships, basic math facts, measurement, money, telling time, money management skills, computer skills, and many other functional skills needed for personal life and in the workplace.

Life Skills English-Grades 10th-12th

The purpose of this course is to help high school students with disabilities develop the fundamental English skills needed in order to transition from high school into an independent or supported adult life. The content of the course includes basic writing convention and organization, grammar, parts of speech, reading comprehension, resume writing, job application structure, life skill vocabulary, spelling and communication.

Life Skills Science-Grades 10th-12th

The purpose of this course is to help high school students with disabilities develop the fundamental science skills needed in order to transition from high school into an independent or supported adult life. Through this course, students will acquire the scientific knowledge needed to contribute to their individual, cultural, and technological worlds. The content of the course includes scientific process, scientific inquiry, measurement, life science topics, physical science topics, Earth and space science topics, and nutritional information.
