Sayre Area High School hosted a packed house during the 2007 Bradford-Sullivan Cavalcade of Bands at the Lockhart Street Bowl Wednesday night. The audience heard a wide range of music from Queen to the funky grooves of Motown.
Area high school marching bands including those from Towanda, Troy, Canton, Wyalusing, Northeast Bradford and Athens as well as the host Redskin Marching Band kept the crowd applauding. |

| "It's was a great night," Sayre Area High bandleader Amy Johnston said before the activities began. She added that they were very excited to host the event and to have the Mansfield University band come and play. |

The event featured performances by each of the seven high school marching bands playing tunes such as Queen's "We Will Rock You" to the movie theme from "Star Wars" and some smooth Latin salsa. A roaring performance by the Mansfield University Marching Mounties concluded the single-band performances |

| According to the Mansfield University Web site (www.mansfield.edu), the band is one of the most renowned marching units in the East. Known as the "Pride of Pennsylvania" if has approximately 200 members, who continue to promote the university. The band has had international and regional performances and is seen annually by well over 1.5 million spectators each season. |

All participating high school marching bands joined the Mounties on the field for a crowd-pleasing mass finale to conclude the evening's program. |
