Completed Test Call: The district has completed a “Test Call” to on Wednesday, March 5, 2008.  Each parent will be contacted via phone for up to four different numbers that have been taken from the emergency information forms filled out at the beginning of the school year.

Purpose: Parent Link is a system that allows the Sayre Area School District to contact parents via phone calls for major announcements (school closings, emergencies, etc.). For example, if a major snowstorm results in the cancellation of school, each parent with a valid phone number will receive a phone call announcing the cancellation of school. The key is to make sure that your phone numbers are valid.
 
Parents, if you have recently changed any of your contact phone numbers, please email parentlink@sayresd.org (copy and paste this address to your email account and email the corrected phone numbers).

Dear Parent/Guardian:

 

This letter is to notify you that the Sayre Area School District will be implementing ParentLink which will be used to contact parents via phone calls for major announcements (school closings, emergencies, etc.).

There are up to four phone numbers for each student that will be called.  The phone number information has been taken from the Emergency Forms you completed at the beginning of the school year. If you have provided the school district with all of these numbers, four phone calls will be generated on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 to notify parents that the district is performing a “test” call.

  1. The first number called is the residence of the student.
  2. The second number is the cell phone of the 1st parent/guardian the student resides with.
  3. The third number is the cell phone of the 2nd parent/guardian the student resides with.
  4. The fourth number is used to notify a parent that resides at a different address than the student.

 

If you need to contact the school to change any of your numbers, please e-mail us at Parentlink@sayresd.org.  If parents do not have access to e-mail:

  • For all elementary students call the H. Austin Snyder school, 570-888-7742.
  • For high school students call the High School 570-888-6622.

Parents, if you receive a “test” call at a number you do not wish to be contacted at, send us an e-mail notifying us that you do not wish to have ParentLink call that number.  Please make sure you include the number that was called.
