WELCOME TO FOOD SERVICES!

NEW! Check the slide-out menu option on this page to see the menus!

Check here often to see what special events, new foods, and fun things we are doing in the cafeterias!  On this page, when you see something that’s written in RED, that means you can click on that item and get more info.  The coolest place to click now is on “School Menus!”   The Nutrition Group at S.A.S.D. is thrilled to present you with nutrislice.   Click on the  “School Menus” link and you will be taken to our menus complete w/the nutritional and allergen info on all food items!  (Click on this link to get more information about nutrislice and on how to access the program on your cell phone and all mobile devices – nutrislice info!)

STUDENT MEAL BALANCES/CHARGE POLICY
Please be aware of the District’s cafeteria charge policy.  Students owing more than $10 to the cafeteria account will be served an alternate reimbursable meal (sandwich, fruit, vegetable and milk) instead of their choice of meal and they will not be allowed to purchase any extra items.  It’s important that cafeteria meals are paid for in advance, with money put on the student’s account, or at the time the meal is taken.  THANK YOU!
You can check your student’s cafeteria balance any time by using Skyward family access.  When a student owes money to the cafeteria account, parents/guardians will receive notification via an automated phone call stating the student’s balance.  If you have questions about a student’s balance, please contact the cafeteria manager or the Food Service Director.

OCTOBER HAPPENINGS:

10/10 to 10/12 is LUNCH FOR LIFE at SNYDER ELEMENTARY!  ALL KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS CAN EAT LUNCH FOR FREE on these three days!  If your student is committed to having a packed lunch, they can STILL come through the cafeteria line and get a reimbursable meal… which is as simple as having a milk, fruit and vegetable!

10/25 – WELLNESS WEDNESDAY at Snyder Elementary – KALE CAESAR SALAD.  (Every month we offer samples of a new food at Snyder, to all students no matter if the “buy” or pack!)

10/13/17 – THIS Friday the 13TH will be a great one! We are having special HOMECOMING CELEBRATION lunches at Snyder Elementary and SHS.  Check the menus on NUTRISLICE to see the fun items! GO REDSKINS!

10/18/17 – MOLLY the COW will be visiting Snyder Elementary during lunch! MOLLY is a character created by TNG to help promote healthy eating and dairy products. (A cafeteria staff member wears the MOLLY costume… students tend to love having her visit!) Molly will give out sherbet cups to all students who get a school lunch on this day!

RECIPE OF THE MONTH at SHS:  Jamaican Pork over Whole Grain Rice  with a dinner roll!

TNG CAFE ITEM of the month sold as ala carte in the high school – FLOATS! Rootbeer Floats made with vanilla frozen yogurt and sugar free soda… (and maybe some other flavors of floats, like orange floats!) Floats are sold for $1.00.
