Effectively immediately, the Sayre Area School District is seeking an experienced Director of Business Affairs/Business Manager to oversee the financial operations of the School District and to provide assistance to the Superintendent and Board of Education. Sayre has a student enrollment of approximately 1,100 and a budget of more than $18,000,000.
The successful candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and will be responsible for accounting procedures, capital fund management, debt service, taxes, payroll operations, employee benefits, and the filing of various reports related to his/her area of responsibility; contract administration; and collective bargaining negotiating. The candidate also will be responsible for providing oversight and supervision to the Custodial/Maintenance Department, Technology Department, and Food Service Department. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing all engineering and building projects. The Business Manager shall manage the business affairs for the district in accordance with instruction from the Superintendent, policies of the Board of Directors, and pertinent laws and state regulations.
Requirements: Candidates should have at least one of the following:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
- Licensed as a CPA
- Previous successful business management experience (school experience preferred).
